i was studying your prewious wip animations and some question popped up: the characters head are in color because they are pasted from a character sheet and modified sightly or what could be the reason? what software did you use; the animation studio has a standard or you could work in anything you prefer? thanks for answering!
the head rotations are made with flash puppet parts to imitate 3d, and to maintain consistency throughout the show. and to save time. rest are all hand drawn. [link] heres a reel/demo studio made showing the process.
Hey thanks for putting these up! They are great study material, can't get over how amazing and interesting it looks like!
See, that's something I don't really get. Motorcity is fully animated and produced in the States and very high quality animation at that (not to mention innovative), so why not have a little pride in that and actually support the show by allowing it to have a continuation? I'm talking about Disney of course, I mean, you guys delivered a great product, "home made" at that and the way it was treated?! Like crap, I'm sorry. I'll just never get over it...
Motorcity has really set the bar [and I mean ridiculously high] for future action shows. I just hope their able to keep up. Thank you for all your hard work. I hope one day I could create something this awesome.
Oh that I'm aware of, but I was hoping that since I'll be looking for work like this soon, that Titmouse would have similar shows down the line. It's the only company that I'm aware of at the moment that animates most, if not all, of its projects, especially in action/adventure.
I just wish Disney didn't decide to cheap out and end this. I just wanted to see where the Character relationships would go from this episode forward, and by Character relationships I mean particular Mike and Julie. They seemed to have been getting pretty close.
